And we’re off! Waterloo Festival 2019 is open and fizzing with energy

A Feast of Fun in Waterloo!

Greetings from Waterloo,

With the Festival now in full swing, we are looking forward to 12 more days of fabulous events.

Tomorrow morning’s Breakfast Talk on Wellness in the Workspace features Michal Matlon of HB Reavis with insider tips on shaping our surroundings to improve our daily work life.

On Thursday 13 June, internationally renowned Jessica Cottis conducts Southbank Sinfonia in a stunning Gala Concert of Sibelius, Strauss and Grisey. On Sunday 16 June, Mahler’s First Symphony will be performed by the Ernest Read Symphony Orchestra.

Wed 19 June is Transforming Rhythm, with the Grime Violinist and Friday 21 June sees a Festival Ceilidh with star band The Ceilidh Tree.

Meanwhile, there are no less than THREE exhibitions from The London Group to enjoy: sculpture and installation in the gardens, moving-image art in the Crypt, and photography at The Cello Factory.

Escape London’s cloudy skies by basking in the talent on show at Waterloo Festival. It’s certainly brightening up my June! I look forward to seeing you there.
