Discover The Festival of Architecture, New Creatives, Vitra’s One Day Sale and Victoria Eggs at Oxo Tower Wharf
Momentto Timber Pavilion
1-30 June, Courtyard, Oxo Tower Wharf
Find a slower pace of life at Momentto Timber Pavilion, an installation by Mementto, five architecture graduates who met at Nottingham University. The pavilion offers a place to sit, relax, discuss and break boundaries.
Situated in the busy courtyard of Oxo Tower Wharf, the design highlights three-dimensional spaces through two-dimensional illusions, encouraging visitors to question the volumes of everyday mundane objects.
From Boundaries to Belvederes
5 – 9 June, gallery@oxo, Oxo Tower Wharf
We’re very excited to have the architect studio Proctor & Matthews at gallery@oxo as a part of the London Festival of Architecture. Their exhibition From Boundaries to Belvederes focuses on the definition of settlement edges, and investigate threshold conditions at the interface of public and private realms.
On Thursday 6 June Proctor and Matthews are joined by leading academics, practitioners and researchers for a panel discussion. Speakers include Mark Newman, Archaeological Consultant at National Trust and Dr Husam AlWaer, Senior Lecturer in Sustainable Urban Design and Evaluation, University of Dundee.
Tickets for the symposium are free and can be ordered here – booking essential.
Lois O’Hara brings colour to Oxo Tower Wharf
First Floor Lobby, Oxo Tower Wharf
Discover Lois O’hara’s new large scale mural ‘Colour is Power’ covering the walls of the first floor lobby at Oxo Tower Wharf.
Lois’s instantly recognisable blobs, wiggles and patterns have been taking over the public domain in the past few years in the form of murals, art direction and design. We interviewed Lois to ask her about her process and she told us…
“I see colour as such an important thing as I think that it can improve mental health, deliver inspiration and encourage a positive well-being.”
