Temporary Road Closure of Vauxhall Street: From 23rd February

Notice is that, to enable works involving the operation of a crane to be carried out, the Council of London Borough of Lambeth, subject to the agreement of Transport for London intend to make an order the effect of which would be to temporarily ban vehicles from entering that length of Vauxhall Street which lies between Kennington Lane and Newburn Street.

The ban on vehicles entering Vauxhall Street would not apply to any vehicle requiring access to or egress from properties or premises in Dolland Street, providing that vehicle does not interfere with or disrupt the works.

The road closure would only apply at such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by the placing of the appropriate traffic signs.

Alternative routes would be available for vehicles affected by the closure via (a) Kennington Lane, Loughborough Street and Newburn Street; and (b) Tyers Terrace, St Oswald’s Place and Kennington Lane.

The order would come into force on 23rd February 2019 and it would continue for a maximum duration of 1 month or until the works have been completed whichever is the earlier.
